From what time is the room available on the day of arrival?
And at what time should the room be vacated on the day of departure?
Rooms for arriving guests are available frpm 3pm. On the day of departure the room must be vacated by 11am.
A secure luggage room is available to all guests arriving before check-in time or who want to enjoy a few more hours in Bologna after check-out.
Is breakfast included?
It depends on the terms and conditions of the reserved rate. If not included, you can buy directly in the hotel with breakfast buffet or à la carte at Caffè Eden
Does the hotel have a bar?
On the ground floor of I Portici Hotel, there is Caffè Eden offering sweet and savory pastries and the best coffee products, open from 7.30 AM to 6:00 PM.
On the second floor, there is Pizzeria Osteria Portici, open from 6 PM to midnight for aperitifs, dinners, and after-dinner drinks.
Does the hotel offer dining services?
The hotel offers various dining options. I Portici Restaurant, a gourmet restaurant awarded a star in the MICHELIN Guide Italy 2025; Osteria Pizzeria Portici, which offers a traditional menu and a pizza menu in a contemporary setting; Caffè Eden with a seasonal menu ideal for breakfast, lunch, or a snack.
Does the hotel have rooms for disabled guests?
Some rooms are equipped for disabled guests.
We invite you to request this type of room at the time of booking.
Does the Hotel have a Concierge service?
The concierge service is available to help you plan your stay and make your experience in Bologna perfect: general information, reservations for museums, restaurants, theaters, car rentals with or without driver, bike rental, etc. are all services that we can provide based on the request of our guests.
Is there a safe in the room?
A safe is provided in all rooms.
Does the hotel have a laundry service?
The laundry cleaning service is available from Monday to Friday (except holidays). Clothing to be washed should be delivered by 9am to the Reception and is returned after 6pm on the same day. In the case of special requests, our staff are always ready to meet your needs.
Does the hotel have an internet connection?
I Portici has a free WiFi connection in all areas of the hotel, including the rooms.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
All rooms have individually controlled air conditioning.
Does the hotel have a car park?
The hotel has a private car park at a cost of € 25 per night, according to availability to check at the checkin. If there are no more parking, the staff will give you directions to park nearby.
Can I reach the hotel by car?
The hotel is located in the center of Bologna but just outside the Limited Traffic Zone. You can therefore arrive by car at the Hotel – from the street Indipendenza 71 (BO). More info: HERE
Are pets allowed?
Small dogs and cats are welcome for a small supplement of €30 per stay. A special kit including a bowl, bed, and treats will be provided.
We would like to inform you that pets CANNOT be left alone in the room and we do not recommend their presence in the dining areas.
Where can I find an adapter?
All rooms have a universal electrical socket. For further information and requests, our staff will be happy to help you find a solution.
Where is the nearest train station?
The nearest train station is Bologna Centrale Station, a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
Where is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is Guglielmo Marconi Airport of Bologna, from which it is possible to reach the hotel in about 15 minutes by car.
Are the mattresses in the hotel rooms treated with bio-sanitation?
Yes, mattress sanitation is regularly scheduled and carried out without the use of disinfectants or chemicals. Are there smoking rooms?
All common areas and hotel rooms are non-smoking , as required by national legislation.
You can stop for a cigarette break on the terrace on the second floor, along the walkways on each floor, or under the portico at the hotel entrance. E-cigarettes are also included in the ban.
